    • Cover Letter - (1 page): Introduce yourself in no more than one page, mentioning the subjects and grades you are interested in teaching, and explain why you wish to teach at a classical Christian school.

  • All applications will be reviewed and screened. Those that align most closely with our school's needs will be contacted for an initial phone call or email.

  • Applicants who successfully progress past the initial phone call or email will be invited to meet the principal and the school leadership team for an interview.

  • If the applicant’s references have not already been contacted, they will be reached by phone. Applicants will also need to submit an original Vulnerable Sector Scan report (i.e., a police check). Those with a successful interview, satisfactory references, and a VSS report will move forward to a teaching observation.

  • Applicants who are successful up to this point will be required to teach lessons selected by the school for up to 45 minutes. The school will provide the context, lesson details, and necessary materials. Applicants must submit their lesson plans or notes in advance to the Principal and Vice Principal for review.

  • The school's administration will review the candidate's application and decide whether to extend an offer of employment. All candidates who have reached this stage will be notified of HIS's decision. If the administration decides to proceed, we will meet with the individual to discuss the terms of employment and the next steps.
