Worship at HIS
As HIS continues to center on the spiritual growth of our students, we have committed to daily and weekly bible studies. In addition, depending on the appropriate age, HIS have worship services in contribution to our Christian community.
Our Goal at HIS remains to produce not only outstanding education, but to provide opportunities for community worship, accommodate spiritual needs, and proclaim the gospel of the Kingdom of Christ. With the cooperation of HIS staff members and outside guest speakers, messages will be delivered to all members of the school community. Students and teachers work together to form their own Praise-band for the week. Using the many young voices in our school, HIS worship is current, and reconstructed to fit this generation all while still being evangelical.

Mission Trip
Worship Team
Mission trips are established as an effective tool in keeping students in the church and developing their faith. At HIS, our mission trip is an opportunity for students to experience real ministry and explore their faith by deeply involving themselves hands-on. HIS have partnered with local churches introducing the need to learn and adapt to the needs that local leaders have determined in their communities. By doing so, HIS’ objective is to understand sustainable solutions to develop positive cooperations, long term partnerships to create long lasting transformations in the community and themselves.
To that end, we encourage students to continue creating faith-forming experiences by serving year after year. This not only continues relationships with the community, but challenges each other to grow and empower their groups to ambitiously change their short-term mission to a lifelong experience with God
Today’s world tells teens to walk around life with a mirror in front of their face. They question their looks, persona, and acceptance nonstop, thinking that one more post on social media might gain people’s attention. Money and possessions become badges of wealth and worth that teenagers fight to wear. This obsession with self can even take a dark turn, spiraling into depression or suicide. Living with eyes glued on yourself will only lead to one thing: death.
God offers an alternative to the mirror. When God rules over our lives, he flips everything upside down. His kingdom looks nothing like the ways of the world—everything orients around loving him and serving others. Storing up possessions becomes obsolete and money has different value in God’s economy. Recognizing God as king changes the entirety of our lives.
In this series, Jonathan Evans will walk students through the parables in Luke to teach what it looks like for God to rule our lives. Though a life sold out for Christ might look backwards to everyone else, it actually points us back to how God intended our lives to be when he first created us. When God is king, he reverses the curse and flips everything we know on its head. We simply have to choose to follow his lead.
The Bible comes alive with this epic story from an award-winning team, with major credits on films including Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back and The Miracle Maker. Friends and Heroes traces the tale of two friends, Macky and Portia, whose adventures lead them across the ancient world as they fight for justice and even survival against the might of the Roman Empire.
This 12-part series explores the history, importance and impact of archaeology and how discoveries help us better understand the ancient world. Dave Stotts, host of Drive Thru History®, introduces his friend and expert, Titus Kennedy, PhD, to unpack the world of archaeology in the Holy Land. They are joined by longtime travel companion and Drive Thru History® writer, Randall Niles.
The team teaches from an interactive studio filled with artifacts, models, slides and gizmos. There are also fun cutaways to Titus and Dave at dig sites and museums throughout Israel and the Mediterranean region. The team gets dirty with the basic tools, technologies and discoveries of archaeology, while focusing on the key locations and artifacts that make the Bible come alive. Entertaining and educational, Bible Unearthed™ is a great apologetics resource for the entire family.
