Empowering Student Program

 

Based on God’s love, each student has unique talents, dreams, hope, and challenges Knowing the student is our responsibility to determine and convey what each student needs to be successful.


The Empowering Student Program at HIS is to help the learner to discover their talents and determine their educational the goals and assist how to achieve it. Our school offers educational programs that promote high standards while providing students with learning opportunities and supports needed for success.


Successful completion of secondary education in Ontario is the prerequisite stepping to post-secondary opportunities. Students may create or choose a program that prepares them for direct entry to:


College, or
University.


In Grades 9 and 10, courses strongly promote the acquisition of essential knowledge and skills by all students. Students are encouraged to focus on their areas of strength and interest and to explore various areas of study.


In Grades 11 and 12, the program is designed to allow all students to choose courses that are clearly and directly linked to their intended postsecondary destinations.

The Empowering Student Program to Success

Heritage International School has the Empowering Student Program team (ESP) is designed to lead and guide the student to be successful. Members of the ESP include the principal, school counselor, teachers.

The goal of Empowering Student Program is designed to help every student to reach in need and provide an opportunity to assure success.

The Secondary Education at HIS is to help the learner to discover their talents, to determine their educational the goals and assist them on how to achieve it. HIS’s approach to learning is one that emphasizes the individual. Each student will receive assistance during classroom hours and after school program. Our aim is to ensure that each student has strong understanding of the fundamental concepts learned in each class. Our school offers educational programs that promote high standards, while providing students with learning opportunities and supports needed for success.
